JASMINE + JUSTIN
For our bold and moody Rock-N-Roll Wedding Editorial at The Fig House, I wanted to play off the color and richness of venue while adding some darker tones, mixed metallics, and texture. We were inspired by the bright color palette of Amira Rahim's art that hangs on The Fig House Walls. I designed the shoot around the idea of a cosmic, "out of this world" love story. Our real couple models, Jasmine, a fashion stylist, and Justin, a musician, were madly in love and super playful. Their on-camera chemistry was the real deal.
Photographer Laura Ford captured The Fig House from every angle and gave us so many different and unique perspectives. Ro, the stationer and creative genius behind Pigment & Parchment, created all of our cocktail signage, menus, stained glass table numbers, and seating assignments.
Sophia of Sibyl Sophia Floral Design made a showstopper table arrangement and bouquet and wrapped the ceremony tree with flowers. La Pinata Party Rentals provided tabletop rentals, napkins, and our donut/cocktail tray. I set the octagonal Fig House dinner table with black dinner plates, copper chargers, copper flatware, and shimmery gold napkins. I hand painted the black taper candles to add the metallic pops of cosmic interest.
I made an effort to incorporate the elements; fire, earth, water, and air, within the design. Elise Cakes ran with the intergalactic love story and she made donuts and a cake to highlight the otherworldly vibe.
We pulled the Delila Fox dress from one of my favorite local shops, Bride Boutique LA. The unique and custom jewelry pieces were hand selected from B.JOI Jewelry's collection where her materials are ethically sourced and each piece is one-of-a-kind. Jasmine's Wedding Hair & Makeup were perfectly styled by Beauty by Autumn.
