Art & Soul Event's 2016 Wedding Planning Year-In-Review! A highlight reel of our Bold, Rebellious, and Creative Wedding Planning clients! Our planning adventures have taken us all the way up to the Sequoias in the Santa Cruz Mountains, through the sleepy wine towns (North of Santa Barbara) in Los Alamos, and down into the boulder coves of Joshua Tree. We have planned, designed, and/or managed magical weddings in amazing locations; including a forest, a motel parking lot, private estates, an avocado orchard, the high desert, and in some of our favorite Southern California wedding venues.Read More

Courtney is a fashion blogger (Pretty Little Fawn) and she wanted a laid back, stylish, & fun wedding that reflected her down to earth vibe. I was thrilled to team up with Photographer Gaby J and Floral Designer Flora Pop to bring Courtney's vision to life! We served wine and beer on tap, chilli + cornbread for cocktail hour, and artisan grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup for dinner. And for dessert we served an assortment of mini donuts from Donut Snob. See all vendor credits at the bottom!

When the Thrifted Sister girls tossed out the idea of going on a desert wedding venue crawl, I couldn't turn them down! Claudia, Nikki, Crystal, and I packed up the car and hit the road for the desert! We met up with the fabulous Alissa, of Alissa Noelle Photography, in Palm Springs and she documented our adventures!
We started our crawl at the beautiful and serene Korakia Pensione. We were given a tour of the enchanted grounds and then took a few quick snaps under the beautiful bougainvillea. It's one of my bucket-list dream venues. Call me?!
Next, we headed over to the ACE Hotel to get the party started! We ordered a few rounds of delicious grapefruit margaritas and grabbed a booth in the Amigo Room. Then we headed out to the "wish you were here" sign where Alissa gave us an impromptu "lifestyle" posing class. That girl sure knows how to work her cute little bod. I quickly learned, that in order to take a good picture, you will likely look ridiculous in the moment. My biggest posing lesson of the weekend was... when in doubt, look at Claudia! Claudia taught us the hair swing, boomerang strut, and how to throw a peace sign when you don't know what to do with your arm.
Next up, we headed over to Norma's at the Parker Palm Springs for a late lunch. Luckily for us, Crystal was pregnant and willing to be our designated driver for the weekend. We ordered another round and then took a quick tour of the property at sunset.
We then jumped in the car and drove to Pioneertown in the high desert. The awesome new owners of Rimrock Ranch, Eric + Gwen, welcomed us into their home with tacos and wine! After we had dinner and settled into our rooms, we all met around the fire to make s'mores and drink wine! I can't think of a better way to end our amazing day. A few of us got up to watch the incredible desert sunrise before we had coffee and hit the road.
I'm so thankful that Nikki, Crystal, Claudia, Alissa, and I said yes to this adventure. I hadn't been on a girls trip since before Jordan was born. I didn't even know how bad I needed that time to be an adult and have some fun! Big huge thanks to Alissa Noelle Photography for capturing our desert venue crawl!

Evangeline + Evan were married May 14th, 2016 at a private estate in Encino, CA and everyone wore white. Evan surprised Evangeline with a first look guitar serenade. We had a welcome party cocktail hour before the ceremony and then all guests paraded over to the ceremony area with Evangeline's mother and brother leading the way singing and strumming along to "Going to the Chapel". We served a delicious boozy punch, the wedding was overflowing with delicious food from Gjusta Bakery (served family-style) under the stars, and for dessert we had a paletas cart.
The ceremony backdrop was a custom planet made by Laura Stewart Design and the gorgeous florals were by the fabulous Of the Flowers! She transferred the 50 ft garland that framed the ceremony planet to the dinner table and surrounded it with black candles and a variety of fruit instead of flowers. We rented the handmade tables, chairs, and fur throws from The Wooden Palate and the beautiful china and glassware were rented from Fern & Bone! It was such an amazing day and I am so happy that Evangeline and Evan chose me to be their wedding planner. I loved helping them bring their magical and moody vision to life!
